The Fabric and Trim Development team work closely with Design and Product Development to realise the creative vision for each collection each season.  As Trim Developer for Runway you will be involved in all aspects of research and development, working closely with internal and external partners to ensure developments are in line with the Critical Path and business strategies.  The successful candidate will have around 3-4 years’ experience in Raw Material Trim development, preferably within a luxury runway brand.


  • Seasonal research demonstrating knowledge of the current market, trends and competitors.
  • Development and presentation to designers of new concepts in trim materials for Runway (men’s and women’s).
  • Effective communication with all internal departments.
  • Managing communication with global trim suppliers.
  • Accountable for maintaining all data, pricing and testing of trims. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of production techniques, commercial pricing and testing standards.
  • Adhere to and manage the Critical Path to ensure timely delivery of trims and components.
  • Responsible for monitoring spend, keeping in-line with the budget and tracking excess trim value and quantitie


  • Raw Materials / Trim Product Developer with around 3-4 years’ experience within a luxury runway brand.
  • Fashion related degree.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; English essential, Italian an advantage.
  • Proven effective relationship management with Design, Product Development teams and global Raw Material Trim suppliers.
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and problem solve.
  • Ability to handle a fast pace and high level of pressure.
  • Collaborative and flexible approach with the ability to communicate with all levels of the business.
