  • Overview

    As Footwear Developer you will be working closely with the PD Manager and design team partnering with tanneries and footwear vendors in Italy to develop the collection working from initial concept through to finished product.  The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ luxury brand experience specialising in either men’s or women’s footwear. Fluent Italian essential!

    Responsibilities

    • Assist the Product Development Manager to work with design to support the process of material sourcing/development and prototyping for the category of products.
    • Assist in ordering raw materials for prototypes and samples and in implementing the seasonal development critical paths for each style ensuring deadlines are achieved.
    • Communicating with relevant suppliers, assist with the daily follow up of prototyping and raw material developments.
    • Creation of prototypes and samples managing the prototype and sample process in collaboration with Supply Chain, Merchandising and Vendors.
    • Accountable for the overall management of sampling technical packs, ensuring that the relevant pages and fields are loaded onto PLM (or any other alternative format).

    Qualifications

    • Footwear Developer with at least 3 years footwear development experience for a luxury brand.
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, experience of PLM/SAP an advantage.
    • Fluent Italian.
    • Experience working with Italian tanneries and vendors essential.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Exceptional attention to detail.
    • Excellent organisation skills.
    • Skilled at working in a fast-paced environment and in achieving seasonal deadlines.
