The Product Development Assistant reports into the Head of Collections and will be assisting in the development of the bespoke and RTW collections working from initial design through to production sample. Key responsibilities will include coordinating raw materials for development samples, tracking development samples in line with the collection calendar, updating all technical information on the system, liaising with suppliers and factories and being the eyes and ears of the Studio to ensure everything runs smoothly and on time. The successful candidate will have 1-2 years’ experience as a Product Development or Production Assistant in a luxury brand. Fluent English along with excellent organisation and numerical skills are essential!


Product Development

  • Assist with the launching and tracking of all development samples against the critical path.
  • Track all raw materials and sample developments ensuring the system is up to date at all times.
  • Liaise daily with suppliers to ensure fabrics, trims and components are running to schedule.
  • Assist with the ordering of raw materials.
  • Ensuring label stocks are maintained.
  • Create packing lists for all samples before sending to factories.
  • Create and maintain the fabric and trim library.
  • Ensure clear and effective written and verbal communication between design and the atelier.
  • Ability to identify and analyse problems and propose solutions.
  • Constant updating of development costings with the use of Excel.



  • Launch all technical packs ensuring all raw materials and measurements are correct to spec.
  • Coordinate fits with design and the Head of Collections, measuring all garments prior to fitting.
  • Write fit comments and send to the factories.
  • Update CAD’s using Adobe Illustrator.
  • Ensure all development samples meet technical and quality expectations.
  • Support the Head of Collections in working with the atelier team to manage workflow priorities ensuring they have all the information they need to make the initial patterns and amendments.
  • Responsible for setting all styles up in Zedonk and entering all raw material and style information ensuring this is accurately maintained and updated at all times.
  • Excellent level of product sensitivity and quality standards.
  • Accurately cost and calculate fabric consumption.



  • Product Development or Production Assistant with 1-2 years’ experience in a luxury clothing brand.
  • Experience working with RTW and bespoke womenswear an advantage.
  • Excellent organisation skills with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working effectively to critical path deadlines whilst ensuring strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Positive and flexible team player with a passion and focus for creating beautiful garments.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Good understanding of the overall production process.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of Zedonk.
  • English native or bilingual proficiency.
