The Studio Assistant will report into the Head of Collections and be responsible for the daily upkeep of the atelier providing general administrative support, assisting with workroom priorities, research projects, coordinating raw materials and any needs of the studio. This role is suitable for a recent fashion graduate with a passion for Couture and Women’s RTW seeking a technical career and their first job.


The ideal candidate will have 6-12 months work placement experience in a fashion head office, ideally a luxury brand and be diligent, highly organised, hardworking and dedicated, happy to provide all round support from running errands to assisting in the studio.


  • General studio and product administration.
  • Tidying and organising the studio daily ensuring everything is in place and well organised.
  • Heading team of two interns at peak times.
  • Assisting the seamstresses and pattern cutters where needed.
  • Cutting, pressing and preparing fabrics for the collection.
  • Carrying out research projects.
  • Assisting the design and development team on the development seasonal collections.
  • Running errands.
  • Screening phone calls, enquiries and requests and transferring them as required.
  • Greeting visitors.
  • Dealing with the incoming post and general email, responding as required.
  • Managing courier deliveries in and out of the office.
  • Responsible for maintaining and ordering stationary.
  • Support the team with travel reservations, research and visa’s.
  • Any other duties as directed by the Head of Collections.


  • Recent Fashion Graduate with 6-12 months internship experience in a fashion head office, ideally for a luxury brand.
  • Highly organised, good at planning and calm under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Approachable and articulate.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to carry out tasks accurately and on time.
  • A flexible team player with a positive “can do” attitude.
  • Self-motivated and dedicated.
  • Comfortable working independently and in a fast-paced environment.
