  • Overview

    As Merchandiser you will be working closely with the Sales Manager on a double digit turnover womenswear account ensuring PP samples and customer orders are processed accurately and on time and production adheres to the critical path. Product categories include woven and jersey soft separates. The role is working for one of the UK’s largest multi-product suppliers and is perfect for an ambitious Junior Merchandiser looking for the next step or Merchandiser with a minimum 4 year’s supplier based experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Critical path management; closely monitor and update the critical path for designated area, flagging and resolving any issues.
    • Action and manage customer and press samples for all departments making sure that they arrive in good time and to the correct specifications.
    • Ensure that design samples are submitted in a timely fashion and maintain a log of all garments submitted.
    • Chase and issue responses following customer meetings.
    • Ensure accurate data input on systems and flow sheets.
    • Answer queries from the factories in Bangladesh, sales and in-house teams, ensuring any issues are resolved.
    • Work with CMS and intake plans on a daily basis.
    • Issue and chase weekly sales figures.
    • Liaise daily with buyers, merchandisers, fabric technologists, designers and factories.
    • Raise and issue PO’s.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a supplier based merchandiser position working on volume based account.
    • Degree in a fashion discipline.
    • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
    • Experience in successfully managing customer orders in line with the critical path.
    • Numerical mindset.
    • Accurate and timely follow up and completion of tasks.
    • Computer literate and proficient in Word and Excel.
    • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast paced environment.
