  • Overview

    The Head of Wholesale is responsible for creating and implementing the global sales strategy with key luxury department stores, boutiques and online retailers to implement a profitable and sustainable strategy reflecting brand positioning and image. Reporting into the CEO, the successful candidate will have a minimum 6 years’ experience in luxury fashion ideally encompassing Men’s and Women’s RTW and be very well connected within the international luxury market. Debuting at Paris Fashion Week in 2010, this talented designer sealed a reputation as one of fashion’s most talented creatives receiving instant critical acclaim for a contemporary design aesthetic, architectural lines and strong creative identity. 

    Responsibilities

    • Plan the international sales strategy, identify sales opportunities and key targets introducing the brand to appropriate markets and countries.
    • Define and agree sales budget and targets per category, region and store.
    • Define and agree the sales critical path including due dates for samples and deadline dates for orders.
    • Attend and contribute to price strategy meetings.
    • Ensure product, price and quality offer is sufficient to achieve sales targets.
    • Plan, cost and manage the sales campaign to include staffing, fixtures, travel, etc.
    • Manage and coordinate all sales collateral including samples, look books, price lists, etc.
    • Arrange and attend all key account sales meetings developing strong business relationships with key stockists ensuring opportunities for growth are maximised.
    • Ensure all stores receive the highest level of service expected of a luxury brand and that the collection themes are correctly relayed and represented in line with brand ethos.
    • Present market research, market analysis, strategic direction and product requirements.
    • Produce regular selling reports during market to feedback data to the CEO.
    • Chase all orders in by the critical path deadline.
    • Ensure stores achieve their budget.
    • Ensure order confirmations are sent out by the critical path deadline.
    • Support finance in chasing payments for deposits where appropriate.
    • Manage any stores that do not conform to payment or delivery terms.
    • Be aware of any delivery delays and communicate with VIP or priority stores where needed.
    • Monitor deliveries to stores and ensure all available stock is sent to the correct stores.
    • Monitor sell thru and identify opportunities for stock swaps and reorders.
    • Provide an end of season report detailing sales feedback by product and store.

    Qualifications

    • Wholesale Manager or Head of Wholesale with at least 5 years’ luxury fashion wholesale experience in Men’s and Women’s RTW.
    • Luxury international market experience essential including current contacts with key UK and international department stores, boutiques and online retailers.
    • Proven track record in growing and nurturing relationships with key accounts.
    • Fluent English essential demonstrating polished written and verbal communication skills.
    • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
