  • Overview

    The Embroidery Designer is responsible for formulating seasonal design concepts, to research, develop and interpret new and exciting embroideries that are commercially viable engineering embroidery placement artworks on patterns during both sampling and production in line with the ethos of this highly regarded London Fashion Week womenswear brand. The successful Embroidery Designer will have at least 3 years’ experience in luxury womenswear designing for the first line demonstrating a flair for harnessing newness with traditional techniques.


    • Research and maintain knowledge of relevant brands to determine market trends.
    • Create original Embroidery concepts that keep within the brands aesthetic.
    • Develop seasonal embroideries and garment visuals for use by design teams and to aid commercial sales.
    • Liaise with designers, technicians and production team to produce commercially viable designs that meets company requirements.
    • Liaising with the factories and suppliers to develop Embroideries mainly based in India.
    • Embroidery administration, budget management and organisation of shipments.
    • Ensure all Embroidery samples and production is archived in line with department procedure.
    • In addition to the seasonal collections, work on special projects including collaborations and with private clients interpreting client’s ideas into Embroideries.


    • Embroidery & Embellishment Designer with an exceptional understanding of embroidery, surface textiles and fabric manipulation techniques for Women’s RTW and Runway.
    • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working in luxury fashion for a Women’s Runway brand.
    • Highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
    • Tenacious, assertive and determined attitude with excellent attention to detail.
    • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Flexible to travel working with workshops in India.
    • Dedicated, hardworking and committed person willing to invest long term.
