  • Overview

    As Product Developer you will be working closely with the design team partnering with global mills and factories to develop the Women’s Mainline collection from initial concept through to production handover with emphasis on soft separates, embroidery and dresses.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum 3 years’ experience in Women’s RTW within elevated contemporary or luxury fashion and be ambitious to grow into a future management role.

    Responsibilities

    • Work closely with the design team and creative director on development of the mainline collection demonstrating excellent product knowledge, ownership, quality and attention to detail.
    • Research raw materials and trims, working with global mills and factories.
    • Launching designs with factories from initial prototype through to production handover.
    • Attending fit meetings with design demonstrating strong technical and construction knowledge.
    • Cost engineering of each product to achieve and maximize margin.
    • Build and maintain excellent relationships with regular travel to visit factories.
    • Negotiation of prices, quantities and lead times with suppliers.
    • Costing and margin analysis to ensure the collection is on track.
    • Creation of BoM’s.
    • Coordinate final product review with Design, Production and Quality Technician.
    • Collaborate with Merchandising on pricing targets for the collection.
    • Update product information on PLM and SAP.
    • Ensure the development process adheres to the end to end critical path and key calendar milestones.

    Qualifications

    • Product Developer with a minimum 3 years’ experience in luxury fashion.
    • Expertise in Women’s RTW including soft separates, embroidery and dresses working with global mills and factories.
    • Ambitious and passionate.
    • Solution orientated; problem solver, flexible and adaptable.
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills building strong relationships with colleagues and external partners.
    • Process and systems orientated, detailed, accurate and highly organized with strong time management skills to achieve seasonal deadlines.
